2024 marks 6 years into the compulsory implementation of the Digital Technologies curriculum in WA for all students from Kindy to Year 8 and the opportunity to consult on the new curriculum. So what is on my Christmas Curriculum Wishlist?

Have you ever stopped to think about the different skills that are not mentioned explicitly in the curriculum that we assume students know, understand and can do when it comes to coding, particularly in a text-based language?

NAPICT results reveal that less than 50% of Year 10 students are able to perform basic tasks like copying and pasting text from a webpage to another application. How is this possible, especially after extensive online learning completed during the COVID-19 pandemic?
